Just an old geezer that likes hanging with old bikers

Got my first dirt bike at 12. Two years before it was legal for me to ride but the little town I lived in looked the other way as long as you behaved. I just turned 60 so I've been riding a long time. Lived in Colorado for 8 years and enjoyed some of the best biking a man could experience. Started out for a short ride up 24 from Springs. Met up with a trio of German riders that had shipped their bikes over on a boat. We rode up to Aspen where they decided to call it a day. I went on to 40 back to Denver then took the back roads back to Springs. Almost had to be lifted off the bike but I'll never forget that ride as long as I live. Can't ride now due to heart problems but I am pretty good with a camera so if you are having an event pm me and I'll see about shooting some pics. I just do it for fun and to have something to kill the boredom during the week. My brother lives in Houston. He's rebuilding his bike now. Had the jugs power-coated and the rest diamond cut. Looks nice.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-

Welcome! I did some riding from Denver to Pagosa Springs last summer after riding up to Sturgis with my dad. You're right about those roads - none better.

Welcome to MH. Would love to chat and hear your stories some time.

Welcome! I have a brother that lives not far from you in Kingsland. I spent a month around Woodland Park and the Springs in 97, love that place and all I could think about then was wishing I had a bike there to ride.
