I'd be up for it. I just got a ttr125 and want to play with it some bit. However, don't you have to do something to your bike and buy a permit/sticker thingy?

spark arrestor, OHV sticker, and $5 daily use fee (unless you have the $25 year pass)

I wish I could go during the week. It's my favorite playground.

Yes!! Us three (thebujster, GBR, daniel) need stickers. So can you get three extra ones for us? We can paypal you advance or just pay you there.

Thanks!!

fresh signs installed at the split, leaving the Stubblefield Trailhead on the south side of the parking lot. (Stubblefield would be the uppermost P). This was pic was taken last Saturday.

Any other questions?

Is this the west side or east side? Isn't there two separate trails? Approximately how long does it take to complete each colored section? Are there "advance trails" vs "beginner?" Where would you suggest the easiest place to park is or does it not matter?

Thanks!

West Side. This is referred as the balloon loop.

Isn't there two separate trails?
There are two sections of Sam Houston National Forest. East of 45 and West of 45. There are several trail systems and several trailheads to start and end from.

Approximately how long does it take to complete each colored section?
This is all relative to speed and skill. 28 miles can take some all day depending on skill, physical conditioning, bike reliability, and much much more.

Are there "advance trails" vs "beginner?"
No. Not really. There are some areas that have some tight more technical sections and other wide open sandy sections. The trails are 2-way, so be more aware of the rider coming your direction in a corner than he is.

Where would you suggest the easiest place to park is or does it not matter?
I can only speak of starting trails from 3 different trailheads and I think I might say Stubblefield is a good place to start, especially since it has been open for riding lately.

Thanks!
Bring plenty of water, take your time, and maybe toss a GPS in your gear bag. You could easily get lost in the woods for a long time.

Sent you a text, lmk if you didnt get it.

Meeting around 10:00-11am at Stubblefield. depending on how long it takes the detour to get the OHV stickers.

Wait, you mean East of the lake and West of the lake correct? I've never known of any multi-use trails in the section of SHNF east of I-45.
