So many riders get back on the bike after a winter hiatus and dont realize the skills get rusty.

DAAAAMN. My 636 was about $80/mo. When I was 26! It went down to $55 last year then jumped back up to $72 a few months later for no reason. =/

I'm 39.

Are you paying $186/month or year?

Yes. Liability only. There's not really any reason to spend $2k/year on full coverage when the bike is only worth $2k.

The cost of my liability has increased and decreased over the past six years - from $84 being the cheapest to $109 being the most. When I didn't have health insurance I added medical and it doubled. I think that's pretty good for the year.

Because it's not a super sport. Plus my driving record is impeccable; nothing on it since 1994!

I'm paying $250/yr full coverage (Allstate) on a 2012 S1000RR, 2011 R1200GSA, and a 2007 Ninja 500. I think they must have made a mistake

I am 39 though.

I paid $364 for full coverage (comp/collison .. less medical) on my 2013 Ninja 300 with Nationwide. Liability only would have been less than $100 for the year. I am 36 and no other vehicles with them. Even told them I was a new rider.

It's cause we all have the OL Disorder and they give you a break for that.

Overabundance of Living Disorder. 100% infection rate. Progressively gets worse. Fatal in most cases. You may know someone affect by O.L.D.

I'm 25 and have had my endorsement for 7 months. I ride a Kawi ER-6n. My liability in WV for my bike was $17 per month. I definitely questioned it when she said $84 per month, and she quoted me like $2500 a year for full coverage.

shop around... that's too high for both age & bike.

Also, as far as i know, they can't put car & bikes on same policy. They may call it a group discount, but it's a separate policy.

fyi ~30/month for liability is what I pay for a 650r and my girl pays the same for a sv650 (both in mid/late 20yrs old). Mine even has PIP and un/under-insured motorist coverage.

Since I know people will ask, progressive. But shop around, the different companies are DRASTICALLY different for different people/bikes. I got quotes that were 2 and 3 times higher.

It's okay. I ALWAYS tell people I'm older, that way they will be shocked and say, "OMG! You look amazing!" And then I say, "Thank you!". I learned that from my gramma.

It's better than people thinking you're younger and look terrible.

You live in the city? If you live in Houston/Harris County your rates are going to be higher than mine; I live in Montgomery Co. Also, like he said - get quotes from every insurance company out there. I have progressive, but have had for nine years. I have tons of discounts for longevity and nothing on my record. Plus, I've been driving as long as you've been alive, maybe longer.
