Pulsing Brake Light

I have been trolling the internet and wonder is there a bulb you can buy that just pulses the break light? If not I might as well wire in the relay and change all bulbs to led.

Just wondering. Looking for a quick fix right now- changing a bulb would be easy. Was going to wait for wiring up until I save up and buy all this I want to do (hid, led on all lights, carbon fiber rear blinkers, maybe a Gear Indicator (noob here). Wanted to do everything with all the fairings off at one time.

Why do you want to screw around with the wiring on a brand new bike?

1-3 months....you say you are a n00b.

IMHO, skip the gizmos and ride. I dont care if you put an amber beacon on your head, these idiots will still run you over.

Save the money and do some advanced riding classes. Buy gear, no, jeans are NOT gear.
Now, I do like the "pods" brake light add-ons

+1. Flash it a few times before you start braking.

A taillight modulator is a great idea to add to any bike. Most brands will flash the brake light 3 times and then go steady. They are small and only have two wires making them very easy to install.

If you really want to do something to your bike that would be nice. Like Thumper said, just get out there and ride. Avoid the trap of fixating on the bike when rider development is what is really important.

OK --- Did anyone actually read my post -- or just fixate on the mods I was planning to do at a later date when I save the money up. I was asking is there a "BULB" on the market that I can buy that will Modulate/Pulse/Flash without having to jack with the wiring. I saw one for a 250 on youtube but the guy failed to post the link where he bought it. It was an old video so didnt even bother posting to the guy.

I am not worried about adding right now but one of my biggest concerns is do people see my brake light. I am tapping the brakes but it would be a little comfort if I knew it was already doing when I apply the brakes.

Ok since I am one of those until I find a solution or answer. More searching this morning and I found these:

http://www.superbrightleds.com/morei...sher/923/2274/

*This one just pulses .. replaces 7528 oem bulb on my Ninja 300..$19 bucks

http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/ta...part/KIS-20W-D

**This one pulses on brake application and deceleration. Replaces 1157 oem bulbs but I was reading 7528 is Euro spec where 1157 us US Spec but are interchangeable .. $59-$62 bucks.

No wiring required. Plug and play. Gonna order the $19 dollar one and see if it works.

If it is a constant pulsing light while your brakes are applied then that is illegal. It is only legal if it is a secondary light and not the main brake light.

Actually the law allows for the brakes and headlights to modulate now on motorcycles for safety. You can tie your rear signal lights also if you change them to red. Amber can not flash nor can you use a different color.

And light only pulses for 3 -4 seconds then goes solid.

Are you looking to do this mod for the looks or for the safety concerns?

I installed a fender eliminator for my bike long time ago and it came with led turn signals, a few months ago a friend of mine was following me and told me that my turn signals was barely noticeable during the day, then just last sunday another friend told me the same thing, i went to wallmart and bought a super bright led strip for less than $20 and fixed the problem. While at wallmart i did see pulsating led strips in different colors, installation took less than 3 minutes on my bike.

I thought it would be pretty obvious it would be for safety concerns ... But I could see where some people would think of a "kewl factor". But it is for the brake light and yes safety and visibility.
