Just get collision on your insurance. Foremost covers trackdays

Oh I didn't think insurance would cover any form of racing like that.. Even though track days aren't exactly racing I know. I'll look into that..

Yup some will, just call your insurance company. Ask them if you are covered in taking a class that is at the track.

You have to lie and say it happened somewhere else. . "I've heard"

Am I wrong?

Sorry, but this is the worst advice regarding track.

Collisions crashes or things like that at the track are rare. And most of the time a wreck is due to your own error and not paying attention.

From this post I guess SR is trying to call Umayr out. Based on the comments and what has been said. This is a different situation.

Accidents happen but if it is gross negligence then the person should take responsibility even if it means they have to forgo watching a movie or getting a second job to pay for it.

I think this is a very important topic. There are some of us that fear other rider's ego or not to be emo, let's say mistakes.. just because some guys have done track and know it or think they do, may try to outrun and try to pass the rider on the nice or expensive bike with a bad outcome. Now this track junkie runs an R6 from 2003 and the paint is falling off, he's got no insurance and just hit you and run you off the track on your baby duc, zx10, r1, beemer.. what have you.. now what?

Exactly. ... That's based on good principals. But, not everyone believes in doing so.
That's why you see some dedicated track bikes that look like ... Because they don't want to spend money fixing it when they are going to get run over again..
Although, some track day organizers have very little tolerance for asshats, and I applaud them for that,.. Just because you sign a piece of paper that says no one is responsible for a crash.. Doesn't make it okay to run into people for stupid and then not pay for the damages.

You can't make the wilful blind see...exaggeration of an uncommon event.

Same can happen to you on the street (not everyone has ins) but as long as your covered, you should be fine.

And no one says that you have to go to the track.

Personnel choice if you want to go.
