does it really matter if i upgrade my air intake...? or should i leave it be..

I have been told if this is done a Power Commander is a must. I went this route after gutting the cans on the VFR and doing some air box mods. But hey i could be wrong.

On the R6 there is a small gain IF you buy the correct one.
Other than the the rest are just serviceable air filters.

More in means you need more out which means you need more fuel. Upgrading the intake without adjusting fuel mixture means you will be running even leaner than stock which is already low to meet EPA regs. Do the whole shebang at once, intake, exhaust, and PC or ecu reprogram.
