How much for Insurance?

Just bought a bike and I just got my quote from nation wide who me/my mom have been with for 30+ years. The bike is an 09 zx6r. For liability i will be looking at about a hundred but with full coverage it goes up to about 350-400 a month. My mom really wants me to have full coverage, and i at least want theft protection. I know that my age has a lot to do with it but still, thats ridiculous. I have heard of a guy on here named tuan i believe, but i was reading through his stuff and if you have previous tickets they have to insure my car plus my bike, and me/my mom dont want to just leave nation wide like that. So who has the cheapest insurance around, and how much are you guys paying?

definately call Tuan. Have him quote all your cars home owners ect. The more you give him the more of a discount you get. Why stay loyal if your not getting the best price/coverage.

Tickets should not make you take over your car.

People tend to think that loyalty to one company will better serve then in the event they need to make a claim. I have found this to be BS. I do however understand mom not wanting to switch due to his recent purchase. He needs his own policy so his indiscretions do not affect mom.

They probably want to add a car so the bike doesn't appear to be a daily driver.

loyalty, shop around every year and save money. Just dont get some company.

I also work in insurance and switch around. Rates are always changing in every company.

There is one thing they can you with. Against my better judgement I went to Dairyland for short time. They failed to send proof to my credit union monthly. As a result my CU would send letters saying they were going to purchase coverage if I didnt. I got tired of calling them to . I cancelled after 5 months. They sent me a bill for 300.00. I called to ask why. They said they had offered me a reduced rate on a 12 month policy and I cancelled in less than 12 months. I told em to get . I literally said it to them. They were my eyes out monthly with my CU. I told they they owe me for the time spent reading letters and making calls. They said I would be reported to a credit agency. I told em to get and report me.

It doesn't show up as far as I can tell. I did get a kick out of telling that matter of factly loud off. She was talking like she owned my or something. She did t know what to say after I was done with her. The guys in my office were asking what the that was about. Lol

Yea that was the agent not the company itself lol!!

Those are the agents you want to avoid. I even help out old clients with their insurance. Or if i quote someone and their current policy is better but slightly more expensive i tell them to stick with them.

Remember you can get theft (comprehensive) without having to get full coverage (Collision) Might make a difference

I had progressive for years (well my mom) and she felt she was loyal and getting the vest rate...well we shopped around and ended up switching our vehicles to ALLSTATE, saved about 1800 from our 6 month policy that we were already paying and got extra coverage. Our bike we just got it by itself with progressive and it wasn't much over a hundred for the year liability.
