dumb stuff I have been doing

Since I have been learning to ride this bike I have learned somethings not to do.
1. Wave at other cats on bikes who wave at you. I near lost it going 50 & trying to wave back. Hope no one gets offended if I don't wave back anymore.

2. Taking a turn to wide because I want to see how it feels to lean 35 mph. I near took out the curb the other night. (dumb !)

3. Ride with my face open. I tasted a bug & it didn't taste like chicken...

Think thats all for right now, but (exclamation on the word ) a new rider I've definatly learned & really felt the need of taking the MSF as soon as possible! I'm sure I will be posting more things as I embark on this journey

#1 Wave with the left hand.

#2 Look at where you want to turn. Look at the exit through the whole turn.
(Not doing and looking elsewhere will cause target fixation) I bet you were looking at that curb when u were headed that way.

#3 Once you start going past 25mph, close the shield.

Good luck and please do take MSF... will make a world of difference.

Do the MSF beginner and advance course, then come to the track if you want to learn to drag just one knee instead of many other parts of body.

how do you wave? Like the traditional wave or the hand to the side?

when you get good you can signal with your foot and turn around on your seat to give bikers directions.

Waving with the right hand reminds me of the joke about getting the one-armed Polock out of a tree . . .

Seriously though, take the MSF. The actual instruction is great, but the best part is just getting used to a bike in a controlled environment where it's OK to do something dumb (and believe me, I did lots of dumb stuff at first).
