Welcome to the forum. From what you said, you should think about MSF if you haven't taken one and advance if you did the beginner. If you have taken both then the only school left for you is Longhorn.
You will surely make that bike goes faster than the new guy on the new bike.

If you learn to ride the outta ur current bike, chances are that when you upgrade to a Super Sport bike, you will be even faster than the guy who started an a 600 or 1000.

Longhorn Motorcycle school, one of the sponsor here. Check them out. Next track day 3/24
You were saying about your bike is not new, pretty or faster. When you come to the track and learn how to ride fast, you will be fast no matter what bike you are on.

Anyone can dog out their bike in a straight line. To me there are roadracers, stunters, dragsters, posers, and cruisers, which one are you?
If you like highspeed riding and cornering then you are a roadracers. If you only think about lowering, NOS, turbos and whatever to achieve mega HP, then you are a dragster. If you dream of doing stand up wheelie and waving at people and other tricks, well you can guess this one. Of course, no need to explain the other two. There are many people on here with skills, you just have to know which group you would suit your style and learn from them.

Roadracing track in Angleton (288 & cr48)? Dragstrip is in where the battleship is the museum (I10 and something). That's all that I know.

I've got a ninjette too, at anything more than 75, the wind buffetting is just too much for me. I feel like the negative pressure is going to suck me right off the bike.
