This could get me in trouble

I changed my chain and sprockets out this weekend. I went -1 on countershaft.

On my commute this morning, I rolled on nice and easy to pass a car (something I do 100 times a day ). I found myself doing an indicated 98. Oops. That same throttle change would have netted an indicated 82-84.

This added acceleration might cost me. It will take a little gettin used to. Lol.

I haven't hammered on it yet to see what changes there are under hard acceleration. I am still in the feel-it-out-and-make-sure-everything-was-installed-correctly-by-my-dumb- stage.

I should be about 7 mph off at 80 mph, according to a website I was checking.

On your stock setup, maybe. Most bikes are off by 7-9% from the factory. Dropping a tooth in the front (stock is 16, right?) would add about 6% more to the error putting you just over 13% off. At 100 indicated you're only doing ~87. 12 o'clock labs makes the Speedo DRD for about half the price of a SpeedoHealer. You'll need the model H1 for your 954.

H3, per their website. They have a drop down list. You can select your bike and it will tell you what model DRD you need.
