What to do with my motorcycle?

So I have finally decided to get rid of my bike. The thing is that I don't know how to do it. Should I sell it as a whole, or should I part it out?

If you don't know, I have a 2000 Suzuki GSX-R600 that I went down on. It has a hole on the frame from the incident, and I don't want to bother replacing the frame. Also the bike has a few other problems that I don't want to deal with.

With the money that I get from it, I plan on getting a 250-300cc bike that is more geared toward my inexperience.

Anyways what should I do? Should I part it out, or should I just sell it/trade it for a 250-300cc bike?

What bike should I get instead? I know that there are other starter bikes out there.

I was thinking about getting a Ninja 250

Also, how much can I expect to get for it since everything on it still works and can be used for parts.

selling it as is i dont see you getting more than 1000 for it. Parting it will get you more money, but will take alot longer than you think. Personally i would just sell it as is and save up some more for a 250

No I never did. I felt like this wasn't worth me claiming. Kinda too late now. I think.

I would sell it as is. Someone on here can rebuild it for a track bike. Find a 250 to learn on. Sorry about your crash, but it happens. Keep your head up, and learn from mistakes. Best of luck to you.

I don't know the specifics, but post up the bike, lots of pictures, and a price you'd like to get. See what offers roll in.
You may get someone that wants to rebuild it to a track bike, or someone that wants to build a streetfighter, or an SV looking for a front-end... maybe someone blew their motor. plenty of market, just throw it out there & see who bites.

You're going to buy another bike that you are probably going to lay down a few times? Just get it rideable and learn on it.

Here are some pics of it: http://tinypic.com/a/2r5gh/3

Anyways I've read up online and most sources say that a crack/hole in the frame is never good. I can ride it as it is right now, but I just don't want the hole to cause another accident.

Around 7.5k miles on it. The engine is good. I had this bike fixed up to riding condition from HOP.

I've been doing some research, and I think that I want around $1,500 for it which I think is a good deal.

Mint condition SRADs are going for about $3900 from what I see online. You can easily buy this along with any SRAD frame from ebay from $300 to $1000. Let's say that you buy the best frame on there which I saw for around $1000 shipped. You've paid a total of $2,500 for this bike.

Now you can also go for the cheaper frames that are around $300-700 shipped, but they have some aesthetic imperfections, but no mechanical faults. In which case you end up paying even less!

Well that's if I end up selling it.
