Cool MotoNoob - Just got my first bike! 2009 Yamaha FZ6R

Hey there,

Just wanted to introduce myself, I just bought my first motorcycle (2009 Yamaha FZ6R with 5700 miles) about 2 weeks ago. Still waiting to drive it until I go through the 2-day basic rider course in a few weeks, but still trying to figure out which one is the best to go to? I got a Fulmer jacket and helmet, and Icon gloves. Still gotta get boots and maybe even pants. So I should be ready to ride in the next few weeks, just in time for summer! Anyways, look forward to going to some MotoHouston meets and what not, see you guys around!

Cody

I agree with Awesome Cycles. Good teachers who genuinely want to help you learn to ride. There's an old guy there (don't remember his name) who reminds me of Mr. Rodgers and he has some of the lames jokes. :P

Lol Thanks for all the great info guys, Awesome Cycles it is then! Will schedule for a class in the middle of May. I will definitely pick up some knee pads then, that's pretty cheap and I would rather have knees.... Just in case something happens lol. Yeah i'm loving the FZ6R so far!
