I have the timax gloves. they did their job when I got hit. I'd buy another pair

I would go with the alpinestar gauntlet gloves. I love Joe Rocket jackets and pants but my JR gloves are :eh:

Both Alpinestars and Teknic offer good quality ladies gloves that go over the cuff.
Alpinestars even has a race oriented glove for the ladies.

FWIW, Icon has gotten better over the years, but, in my experience, there are better quality / performing brands of gear available.
