World class event and not enough staff? Looks like someone messed up.

If I were in Texas I would be all over this. Good luck finding enough people.

So who enjoyed volunteering? I was at turn 19/20 and overall it was fun, but highly unorganized.

I want to offer my personal thanks to all that answered my request for additional volunteers. The FIM represenitives were also impressed and asked that I pass on their thanks as well. A little over 60 people stepped up and responded to my last min request. One person told me that the only reason he was doing it was because it was me that asked. I apologize that I don't remember your name but i want to thank you again. There were a number of people that already had tickets that stepped up even before I had spoken to the track about refunding those tickets. Thank you for being willing to do that and please let me know if there were any issues with those refunds. I belive that the management at COTA learned some valuable lessons at this event. The most important be don't underestimate the Texas motorcycle community.

So again THANK YOU!

I got an URGENT text from Ryan and agreed to help just cause he said Walter was asking. I followed the text instructions and went to the marshal tent and just as I arrived poor ole' MH Valentina showed up for the festivities but she too agreed to enlist when I told her the news. We had a blast!!! Now, even West Texans have met and been beaten by Hungarian logic!!

We were stationed at what COTA calls T19 which is actually between Turns 10 and 11. They directed us efficiently which is only a testament that the race directors were able to adapt and overcome (with community help.)

I gave up my Turn 1 seat and left Gavin on his own, but my Leather & Lace team mates got him a garage/pit pass and he had a blast hanging out with the bikes.

I saw MH members Dinosaur, Obed, and Lil-Red just to name a few, but I know there were many many more out there.
