First Bike - Ninja 300

I am the proud owner of 2013 Kawi Ninja 300 ABS signed the papers today. Bike will be on my doorstep around noon tomorrow. Super stoked ready to get out and the get the feel of this thing.

2 big thumbs up for the guys over at K's Motorsports in Humble .. did a price match on the best deal I could find and I got a good one. Did not try to up sell me to a bigger bike and really answered all my questions that helped me finalize my decision.

Congrats on the new ! I have heard the break in is the most frustrating part, all those rpms and they want you to keep her reigned in for at least a few hundred miles. good luck keeping it below the recommended limit.

I dont have the manual yet... bike was still being assembled and getting inspected tomorrow morning. Sales guy did say for the first 600 miles to vary the RPMs and dont just get on the freeway and hold it at the same speed.

That being said, with this being my first bike I plan on doing alot of back street riding and sticking to some roads I know pretty well until I get a good feel before I go venturing out to far and getting on the freeway in traffic.

My biggest concern right now about riding is not the bike its going to be getting use to riding around with all the cars/trucks, using my mirrors and getting my field of view with a helmet on.

Its gonna be fun ... I can sleep right now ... being researching for 2 months and cant wait to fire it up. Once I get comfortable I cant wait to go on a group ride with a few people to start off.

No ... no track days yet. Adv Rider course is the next step after the beginner course. You take your bike to the class and they go over more riding techniques and road safety.
