Halffast CMRA ECR Thanks

The third round for Halffast was a lot of things, but most of all we had fun. Mark and I were the only one able to make this round so we headed out early on Friday morning so that I could do the one hour mini practice, thanks LSTD for having that. Mark had ridden ECR once and I had never ridden the track, and with all the talk about the seepage, I was definitely worried.
On Saturday Mark and I did the 20-minute practice and took note of all the water spots on the track. Big thanks to the CMRA for marking all the danger spots on the track. I started the morning off with my F7 race on my Honda NSF, I placed second over all in the race and 1st in my class. I then raced F4, and had a good battle with Brian Millsap and Kasey Lewis, I had a bad tank slapper in the transition and it shook my nerves, and managed to pull an 11th place out of 17.
Then came the big 6-hour endurance race, and Mark and I had had our hands full. Most teams had two to four members, but since we are Halffast, we came with….two.
Mark started the race and as the first lap ended I hear on the loud speaker that there is a bike with the wrong number, “bike number 208 should be number 20”, so I made the mistake and made Mark pit so that we could change the number, I thought we weren’t getting those laps counted, so that put us to last. But Mark did great and got us back to 24th out of 28 before his first stint was up. We made progress all day, until Marks second stint, the battery cable came loose and we had no power, a quick fix and I took over for my second stint. Mark had a big tank slapper in the cut off that made him run off the track to the top of the hill, He came in and I took over. We ended up 17th out of 28 and finished the race. Talk about exhausted, we packed up right after the races and headed back to Houston. This was a true test of Halffast’s abilities and determination to finishing the 2013 CMRA season strong.
Special thanks to Quan, Sherman, Caleb, Laura, Lisa and Brandt, Brawp crew for helping us in the pits without them we would have been stressed the faq out.
We would like to thank our SPONSORS, without them we would have not been able to make this season:
Halffast Group
Track Junkie Racing
GnS Racing Transport
RideSmart Motorcycle School
Kpop
Brawp Racing.
