Not to be a but why didn't you just have Japawhats his name re key it? At least then the key would do the tank and the tail.

Well, originally he was going to do help me re-key the ignition switch currently on there. but its different key from the rear seat and fuel tank. So I just decided to buy the the whole lock set. It did not occur to me he could help me with the install..and I now I feel dumb.

you need a new one.. nothing to figure out. new from dealer is 280. used one from a shop will prolly be round 100-125

You could rig it, but I would take the pump to a shop to have it done. Better off buying a new pump if the fitting can't be replaced for the safety aspect.

I wouldn't bother trying to rig the fuel pump, could turn out to be a nasty outcome if it were to not hold up later on.

Looking at my kawi the top triple tree just comes off if I'm not mistaken.

Problem though is with most automotive ignitions and seeing the one on mine is they are bolted down with break away bolts which need to be chiseled off.

As Chris said, there is no repairing/rigging/fixing the broken fuel pump tube. Replace the pump ..and stop breaking
