Everything on the bike is made cheaply - not out of steel, but out of plastic or something that won't hold up.

We loved riding it, though- it's a lawnmower on two wheels, basically. It's automatic and fun and comfortable. We had two of them; I think they lasted about two years. Ask Magicman - they may still be in his shop. Haha. They just aren't made well and that's why they're cheap.
