Great! I'd hate to try to teach someone to ride a bike that wasn't decent at driving a stick

Lots of bad advice mixed in with some decent advice. A ninja 250 is not a bike that is too small for you. I am 6' plus and it is more comfey than my GSXR1k. Carefull with advice taken from the internet or any other person that claims to be a know it all.

My dad is an ER doctor and had me TERRIFIED of riding! I was convinced that the bike wanted to kill me. I finally got over it and took MSF when I was 33. BEST thing I have ever done.

Last August my dad, sister, and I rode up to Sturgis for the rally. You'll love it.

It is ok dude, I know you were just trying to help.
I have never rode a SV before so I could not give an opinion on that. I know that you might be able to out run a ninja 250 in first gear.

I never said there was anything wrong with what you said but others that have posted in here.

It was funny that you posted about not taking advice from the internet (I'm a French model by the way) yet you gave advice on the internet

I'm not really a dude. You know that, though. You've been around slightly longer than I have... While it's true that the SV is not a supersport, it typically tops out around 140 (I believe mine tops out at 138, actually). The point of riding street isn't to do triple digits, though.

I have ridden a Ninja, and although it's not THAT small, I was able to ride it and touch the ground without it being lowered... it's SMALL - much smaller than my SV (which is lowered about 3").

If it's on the internet it HAS to be true. Or else they couldn't say it. I know it, because I read it on the internet.
