Just my point of view........
I think that next weekend ride is a bad timing with MotoGP weekend, and I know that Mark accident is soooo much more important but people planned for this weekend for a long time....What I am just trying to say is....I understand the family have a timeline regarding funeral preparations but if you want the best of MotoHouston then maybe the following weekend will be best....
If it would be for me then...I would prefer that my family get together and get closure then later on , the entire community comes together like for Jim last sunday.
It just makes me feel sad for Mark that few riders will get together next sunday when you could have the entire community a week later.....
Thats my feeling, maybe Mark's close friends or family members have different ideas and they are right no matter what. So hard for a family to go through.

Yes i understand that saturday is not workable for people that are working on that day, i am usually busy on saturdays and thats why i never post a saturday ride. For this one i will be making some time and push back what i need to do so i can at least spend an hour or so at this event before i take off.

If it helps for those that will be working on saturday, there will be a Sunday Ride as usual and donations can be collected during the ride.

Very good points, and i do agree that lots of people will be out of town for this weekend, but i think who ultimately will be making the decision as far as date/time/location will be Mark's family, i just heard about this event last Sunday ride so i just wanted people to know about this and find some time in their weekend schedule to stop by and contribute. At this point i dont have any other details other than date and location, i heard about a bbq and car wash in the planning but at this point nothing concrete. Will update once i find out!

Also on board w this thought. I am away in Austin as well. If its rescheduled to another time and I am in town than count me in. If not I will be happy to make a donation... If its set up already.....Where do riders who cant make the ride send donations....? If its not set up then that may be a good idea? Just a thought

I totally agree with everyone's suggestion, this event supposed to be for April 20th. But so far there are no further details as far as i know, i am hopong Mark's family/close friends are reconsidering moving this event to the following week so we can get a larger group.
