Was that really necessary? There's a wreck between "taking the chance" and where I am now. I'm not giving up riding, but I'm going to be down for 6wks and need to have bolts put into my arm all because of a quality control issue. To top it off was the guy in the yellow shirt telling me, whilst I'm lying on the ground, "if you'd just followed your line, this wouldn't have happened." I don't know who he was, but that's BS.

As for my bike, it started right up, but the forks are bent and there's an ugly amount of fairing damage. She'll be at House of Paint tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm a little grouchy given the circumstances. Thanks for the encouragement though

I was just a few hundred feet behind you. Saw you down and kept hauling hoping I could beat the yellow or red flags

I'm lucky I didn't go down

He didn't know he had a problem until the cw let him know. It was a malfunction. Not poor maintenance. Sucks but happens

Sucks to hear about your wrist. I would feel so bad if me or my bike caused something like that to happen.

Lets take a stand and ban kn oil filters.

They have had that problem but true that he could of not lubed the seal or not presoaked it. But It most likely is the filters fault, An assembly line of a load of filters, one is bound to be bad

My GoPro was facing rear wards but I was right behind the bike when it went. We were coming in from the back straight when the smoke clouded out in the braking zone. I thought he had locked the brakes until I smelled oil so I backed off and tiptoed. The thing that really sucks was he was riding on the line leaking oil through T 7, 8, 9, until the CW at T10 had him get off the track. I passed him on the straight going into 10 and it was pretty bad mess by that point. I don't know if would have done different but that's what had people a little miffed.

Oh and K&N filters use crappy filter media so...
