Oil dumped on TWS (Texas World Speedway)

Turn 7 - 10/11(ish)

My favorite section to get low with it and haul . I was wondering why I was slipping out so bad (was 3 or 4 bikes behind him aparently) lol

Sheesh how does a oil filter come off!?!

I have seen a bike ahead of me blow up on the street. I slowed down and avoided the oil trail.

There is no excuse for an oil filter coming loose.

At minimum all bike fluid caps an drain plugs (filters included) should be safety wired... Level 1 track day or cmra, AMA....

Just a opinion. And I know bones didn't intend for that to happen, no one would!

But that's time lost for paying customers. Not to mention bones bike might be toast now.

My filter didn't come loose, the casing/o-ring blew out...I've used k&n oil filters on every car I've ever owned with no problems...as soon as I told Josh what happened, he asked me if it was a k&n filter, said he'd seen several k&n bike filters fail...and it was a brand new filter

It sure did leave a mess though..Hated to see 2 guys go down because of it to!..and most of the level 3 guys left because of it.. TWS (Texas World Speedway) did do a good job of cleaning up though... happens... great day other wise.

at blaming the guy for it "coming loose" The o-ring crapped out on a filter that had been on for 2 days. happens. That's not the first time I've seen k&n filters do that. Last time i was behind a guy and i got covered. So save yourselves the hassle and don't buy a pos k&n oil filter.

From what I heard, the oil leak was pointed out before the actual spill occurred. I now have a broken wrist. Thanks, .

I just talked to the guy and he said he started to feel the rear walking out. Thought something was wrong so slowed down. Corner worker black flagged him and told him to "get off the track" he got off the track and then was engulfed in a cloud of smoke.

Sucks some of you guys went down and got hurt but that's the nature of the beast. happens. Sometimes it happens to you. If you don't want to take the chance then don't ride. He didn't know what happened. As soon a he did he got off the track. Sorry yall went down. Hows the wrist? How are the bikes?
