I mentioned this last night to go by there but our ride didn't start till 1:30 and then a 30 minute delay for a new ticket I haven't heard of;

" Operating a ATV in a wreckless manner. "

In all reality, I think I would rather have that ticket. I think it may not even be a moving violation?

What were you doing when you were cited with operating atv in reckless/careless manner?

Section 663.035 of the texas transportation code by the way, so it seems like a legitimate offense, just not sure what you were doing would apply.

Pah power wheelies!

Not saying it was a bad call on the popo. Just a new odd one. Like I said before, this might less of a "side effect" than automobile reckless driving. I'm curious to know comparatively speaking?

after reading some more, based on the beginning of that section, where it defines what constitutes an "All Terrain Vehicle" there's no way it could apply to a two wheeled motorcycle. But by no means am I a lawyer.

Quote:
663.001. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter:
(1) "All-terrain vehicle" means a motor vehicle that
is:
(A) equipped with a saddle for the use of:
(i) the rider; and
(ii) a passenger, if the motor vehicle is
designed by the manufacturer to transport a passenger;
(B) designed to propel itself with three or four
tires in contact with the ground;
(C) designed by the manufacturer for off-highway
use by the operator only; and
(D) not designed by the manufacturer for farming
or lawn care.
(2) "Public property" means property owned or leased
by the state or a political subdivision of the state.
