A bad day at the office

One of our bike escorts got cut off by a Chevy Avalanche this morning and he ended up with 11 broken ribs, lung damage, liver bleeding, his belly was full of blood, one arm broken up in the socket area, thigh bone broken and he lost a lot of blood through that injury, back injuries and that's what they had as "priority" injuries with other stuff to be sorted out. He'll be in ICU for a week, hospital a few weeks, and 9+ months of recovery. They cracked his chest and put 2 drain tubes to drain blood and relieve pressure.

Good news, no brain injury and the prognosis is that he eventually will have a 100% recovery. Y'all keep him and his family in your prayers.

As bad as things were, I'm glad it wasn't worse than what had happened.

Don't really know yet. I went to the hospital with the officer and waited for his family there.
