have 2 of them kept up to current software levels, run them thru autocom systems on the bikes.

i use a V1. i don't really like the screamer that Racer X mentioned because it won't differentiate between radar types. K band, Ka band, and LASER all warrant a different response. I have X turned off

Is the screamer a Valentine part or aftermarket?
I was just on the Valentine site and did not see.

ALso considering the remote mount module so I can put it line of sight to negate the need for audio. I do not know how to listen to music and radar.

I am getting equipment nailed down before I start down Jimmy's rigging path.

V1 looks pretty tasty.

Anything motorcycle specific are super expensive. I'm thinking about getting a Zumo because my car-based GPS's are just not direct sunlight readable.

Weather-proof Radar detector, though... I dunno. I can see me still needing the GPS in inclement weather, but I doubt I would still need a radar detector out when it rains hard enough to need weather proof electronics. I don't have big enough to speed excessively when traction and visibility are both compromised.

I've actually ridden through a 30min rain/hail storm with a cheap car-based GPS and it just kept on working.

Yea, you may not speed when it rains but do you want to stop on 290 during a sudden cloud burst to stow your equipment?

REMEMBER...
do not rely on visual alerts UNLESS its inside your helmet ...AUDIO is the way to go.. via noise isolation ear buds even better...

You dont want to keep looking at your radar ..
