Why wait? Go ahead and go. Its not a big deal really. My first trip was the first MH meet. I was instantly hooked. It got real expensive real quick. Thats how you end up buying all kinds of and having over 20k in a Busa that sits in the garage

The rebound on the forks when you launch is the problem. You can strap the front to stop that. Its hard to launch from a stop and not pull the front while still trying to get a good launch.

I don't plan on being amazing my first time. Just wanted to go out and enjoy the bike sense I only get to commute on her :(

Thats good. Nobody is anywhere near amazing the first time. Its fun though. Its a real challenge. You dont get another lap to make corrections. You get a hand full of seconds to make it all right. If you do it wrong, you gotta wait your turn to try it again.

You will be fine without the strap it is just a big help. Odds are on your first pass you will ride the out of the clutch simply because your scared you will loop. Once you get the feel of it you will get better.

Ask anyone on here who went out to the strip on one of the MH meets how long that "just want to go out and enjoy the bike" thought lasts. After you run it once or twice you will either be or . Either way at that point you will need to go faster.

He wont slip the clutch. He will let it go without enough throttle. It will drag out of the hole and then go. Just me prediction based on my own experience.
