It's lookin' good!
I've been working on mine too. The carbs are still giving me fits. I'm thinking I need new idle jets.
I can get it to idle pretty well... on one cylinder... after it gets warmed up.

After I coax it to run long enough to get some heat in the engine, it idles pretty ok...
as long as I keep the left carb partially covered with my hand.

The moral of the story is;
Dont' let it sit long enough for the carbs to get jacked up and stay away from fiberglass tanks, lol.
Use a metal gas tank and StaBil.

Got a bit more done today. Learned how to tear down the oill pump. Some media got in there from the PC since I left it in like a dumbass. Well, tore it down, cleaned it, put it back together and it works a treat. Felt like a champion after it was sorted.

Exhaust is primed and ready for wrap. Back to work tomorrow, so I might get to do that in the evening.

Just waiting on the tank, then it's seat pan time and electrics.

Starting to take shape...

That's pretty much it. No turn signals or hi/lo beam required. The horn does not have to be electric either it can be mechanical like a bicycle horn if you just want to get it passed. You may want to print out the requirements from the world wide interwebs to take the the place you are getting it inspected because I have had to argue about the hi/lo beam in the past. PM Mr. F if you can't find it. He has it on his computer.

Really pleased with my exhaust choice.

Waiting on my tank so I can mock up the seat pan.

Stop light and licence plate bracket have been ordered.

Getting closer....

Got the tank back.

Polished Aluminium!

I think it looks ace.

I was going for the polished look. It's really powder coated in chrome with high gloss clear over it.

Please tell me it doesn't look "just silver"

Fitting tank this week, then it's seat pan time!

Hoping to have it on the road in late September just in time for the temperature drop.

What's not supposed to look silver? You mean that silver tank?

Shoot me a text if you're in garage doing some late night wrenching this week. I'd like to come check it out and I'll bring some beer.

I'm liking cafe racers a lot lately, we're going to Barber and I've seen one pic of the museum and know I'm going to be drooling! And then when yours is done too. Congrats on your progress, I'll look forward to the completed project!
