Where does it state you need current inspection? When I've looked online, nothing mentioned needing proof of inspection when titling/registering a bike.

As far as renewal, when I called them, they just told me I needed the vin, insurance, and money. They never mentioned the inspection. I know with a car, you don't have to show current inspection when you renew the registration. When titling a car for the first time in Harris Co (or other emissions co) you have to show proof of passing an emissions test, but bikes don't have to pass emissions.

Anyone know this info for sure, as I had hoped to go get reg. today at lunch and get the bike inspected this weekend. I don't want to waste my drive if I HAVE to get inspection first.

Thanks,

out of state transfers require inspection certificate. texas titles don't need it, only insurance, transfer form, id, and cash.
