This morning...

It's actually at 290 and Eldridge....I saw it on the news before I left the house. Fatality accident and life flight was on the way for another injured person. Looked like a bike t-boned a car.

I hope whoever it is get well soon.

Man, whats up with people getting into fatal accidents lately. For those who have been riding for years, could someone tell me if incidents like this are this common in houston.

KHOU didn't have all the details when I was leaving this morning. Just saw the chopper video and they said its a confirmed fatality and they showed what looked like a dark colored (black) motorcycle on the ground and a car that had been hit by what looked like a motorcycle on the drivers door (I think, could have been the passenger door). They said life flight was on the way for a second seriously injured victim.

i work at joe myers toyota, a block away from the accident. saw it on the way to work this morning. the rider was def. dead. looks like he ran a red light and hit a 4dr accord. the accord was tore up really bad, when i passed the scene they had him coverd up on the sidewalk. i couldnt tell what kind of bike it was i saw tore up blue panels and a helmet that was it, bike was demolished.

If you ride like a bat outta in this city you are bound to have some sort of accident. Although I ride semi aggressively, I keep a very keen eye out for those other people around me. If you know your surroundings, you should be able to see potential accidents before they occur.

i.e. I always check for cross traffic when entering any intersection whether the light is green or not. If I'm sitting at a light and it turns green, I also check cross traffic for morons who think the yellow light lasts for 5 minutes.

I don't think there was a second rider.......life flight was probably called out for the person in the car....looking for more info online right now.
