Tim,
You are much more lenient / tolerant than I would have been.
The last time I caught someone in the act I gave them much more than just a scare.
At this point you don't know if they'll be back to cause trouble for you in return, "no good deed goes unpunished".

Next time, at least take their drivers licenses away from them so that you know how to find them if something "unusual" should happen.

It's funny how not being anonymous anymore changes peoples attitudes.
Keep an eye out buddy.

And they were frat boys? How about stripping down naked, crawl around on all fours, making them sniff for dog poo like a dog, while being hosed down with water, then taking their clothes, grab the key of the 4-wheeler and throwing it into the bushes and chase 'em away neckid.

Then call the cops telling them they are streakers running down the street.

They about their pants, I told them to lie down on the ground and that the cops were on their way. (they wern't) It turns out that they were friends of some new neigbors and had seen some , and I mean , in my backyard that they wanted. Items that they tried to take included a nasty cooler, a half broken ladder, and a large sheet of glass.(I had a outside glass table with plants on it, they threw the plants on the ground). These items were in front of my house, next to their newish 4-runner for loading.
I talked to them for a bit, told them that they were real lucky i didn't shoot or let the dog on em (I have done so before ) but that they were definately going to be arrested. They were still laying on the ground, were asking me to let em go, so I asked em what is was worth to them. Long story short I let em go! F$#ing stupid punks.
Tomorrow comes the reaming of the neighbors and the express intructions to not have these clowns come by again.
What I did not understand is that they obviously had some money (nicer car than my own) but they were trying to take garbage! And allmost died for it.

Thanks motohouston, I ain't got noone else to listen to me at this time!
you [i]do[/] know that it is completely legal to shoot a burglar on your property i would DEFINITELY make sure they know that. :laughing6

I would've called the cops as well and had them arrested.

http://www.khou.com/topstories/stori...n.fbfd85a.html

I wonder if these are your boys? I seriously doubt it...

A homeowner shot and killed an intruder Tuesday night who broke in while his family was home.

KHOU-TV

Deputies said there may have been more than one suspect.
It happened around 8 p.m. in the 6700 block of Dusty Dawn at Coral Stone.

Harris County deputies said there may have been more than one suspect who was trying to burglarize the home, but the others got away.

Apparently the homeowner and the suspect exchanged gunfire inside the home, where his wife and two small children were. The youngest child is 1 year old.

Deputies said the homeowner would not be charged, as the shooting was justified.

The Harris County Veterinary Public Health was called to help deputies because there were four pit bulls in the backyard. They controlled them as officers were on the scene.

I agree...
Could be the same crooks that came in my back yard and stole items just 2 weeks ago. Now you let them go and they will not learn their lesson. Sad. You should be ashamed of yourself for taking pitty on theives.
