Goldwings are in a completely different category. Some of the latest crop of Sport Tourers, like the Trophy are starting to push towards comfort and away from sport. There is a Sport Tourer shootout in the latest issue of Rider mag.

I prefer the sporting end of the ST spectrum. One thing about these STs, 95mph feels like 70mph, which could be good or bad.

If I were you, I would demand every just compensation. They owe you a comparable vehicle while the Trophy is getting fixed. Make them rent one for you.

When our minivan got rear-ended, the other guy's insurance company first tried to pacify me with a mid-size car. I said, no way, your insured driver took away my wife's transportation, there is a reason we bought a minivan, we need a minivan. So they looked and found a Dodge Caravan. I went to pick it up and it was a base model with cloth seats and no power doors. I said: "no way, ours was the Limited Edition with leather, power everything and rear seat entertainment for the kids, you are not going to us off on a POS delivery van!" They said, sorry but they don't have a minivan like that. I said: "that is your problem, not mine. I didn't ask you defendant to take out our ride. We need a 3-row vehicle with leather seats and power everything."

We ended up driving an Infiniti QX56 for a month.
