go try some on. sidi, astar, oxtar are top notch.
i own an oxtar race boot cause i got a better deal on it. i had setup previously, but had the street version and werent as rigid as race boots, so i sold them.

oh yeah, and all brands have different sizings/fitment/adjustments. very important to know your size in which brand before ordering.

will these boots ever be for track use? or street only?

okay, then you'll want to make sure that the boots fit, with room to tuck your leathers in them as well.

do you have wide feet or big calves?

now gloves are way more important about trying on before buying. i've had bad experience with buying gloves i thought were comfortable, then when riding, they hurt my hands. i've owned a*'s, icon, joe rocket, and frank thomas. my joe rocket ones seemed to be most comfortable as of right now.
