if you can't afford the track try meeting up with some of the riders here on the street that know how to ride if you are new to riding ,riding with other experienced ridiers you can learn alot by watching and listening to them.catch some of the rides to brookshire or the forest and hang towards the rear and watch and follow the other guys. eventually you will be able to ride a whole lot faster!

Try switching to flush mount indicators

Be sure to fill them with Motul Systech II Fluid for best results

@ all the bad advice.

You all should be ashamed this is such a simple question, there is only one way to make you bike go faster. It doesn't matter what kind of you bolt on to your bike... the _ONLY_ way to make your bike go faster, is to pull back further on the throttle. Sheesh.

ok, i think he is sold on track days.

If you are level headed you don't need another bike. Go for one track day and keep a cool head. You are less likely to crash on the track than on the street as long as you don't get too excited. If you do crash on the track you will have much more support for repairs, transportaion, and of course health care!

You have a great bike, learn how to make a great rider.

If you find that insulting, don't. I think I'm a pretty average rider and I know I'm NOT great.

I guess I missed the part where you said how long you've been riding and what kind of riding you are talking about being faster at.... I will say this: take your time in learning and becoming faster...if you don't...you'll just f uck it up and we'll be reading about you on the news.

Speaking of which, enter Gixxer. Returns:

"Ultimate squid bike. Bought by people who think they'll look cool going down the road and leave 2.5" of chickenstrips on each side of the tires because they're too stupid to know how to lean over in a corner"

"Gixxers are too often bought by people who have little or no motorcycle-riding experience. Many people have gotten hurt or killed because they can't handle a bike of this magnitude. Only 1% (if not less) of those who ride Gixxers can actually use them to their full potential.

That guy with the Gixxer 1000 thought he was fast, until he brought his bike to a race track and had his handed to him by EX500s."

Sorry, I am usually not like that but thought that was funny.

Give Cagixxer a break people. At least he asked all the right questions and some of us have pointed him in the right direction. If only he really take our advice and make good of it.

Cagixxer, if you are an aggressive/fast rider on the street, then you really need to attend at least ONE track day to see how well you know yourself and your skills. Be warned that you might be disappointed with yourself, but it is all good.

In the meantime, be safe.
