It'll help if you are capable of taking a turn at the white sign speed limit (versus the yellow suggested speed)... and generally capable of riding in a group, or give yourself and others space.

Basically, if you are safe and comfortable on the street... you're good on this ride. If you are a noob learning basic riding, might wanna practice locally before heading to this.

i have roughly about a month experiece, but i do commute from northwest (willowbrook) to down south (alemeda-genoa) from time to time to visit the in-laws. i feel pretty good about taking corners above the speed limit on the freeways and exit ramps n all. would that be good?

You should be ok in Group 3, just ride at your own pace and dont feel pressured to catch up to anyone worrying about getting lost, we have sweepers that will help you during the whole ride
