Hey yall, anybody been to a mechanic school to learn how to do anything and everything on motorcycles? I was wanting to start maybe sometime this year. I looked up MMI but theyre in arizona and I dont want to have to leave the state or houston area really. I see that people here work at stubbs and Motorcycles Unlimited and what not so where did yall get your knowledge at and certs? Someday id like to work on bikes as a full time job.

As a previous Service Manager I would recommend MMI as well... there are a lot of other options out there such as Wyotech/UTI, etc.... but a lot of mainstream service departments will hire someone from MMI with lower scores before someone from Wyotech with a 4.0

granted I can't speak for ALL shops, so I could always be wrong... you may want to call around and just ask different shops their opinions since it sounds like you may want to be working in this area in the future.
