XR400R motard set-up wanted - asking for MH help in finding

I just managed a deal to swap my Husky Te410e for a street legal XR400R I'll be getting it around May/June from a good friend from South Dakota when he heads down for a visit.

Pretty pumped.

If you would, please be on the look out for a used set of wheels for a motard conversion. Any help would be appreciated.

I prefer Talon/Excel or maybe even a nice mag wheel set-up of some sort if I get lucky. If none show up by then, I guess I'll take a look at Warp 9, although I am not a fan...and I can't even give a good reason why.

Thanks,
Staton

Oh . Going back to the ol' XR. I've got an account with warp 9 and I'll hook ya up if you go that route. They really are a lot nicer than they used to be. Even have a really nice rotor for a few bucks more. Made in the same factory as the braking stuff.

Yep, I know we talked about the SMR, but with a trade moving the XR, I'm going back to the XR. It wasn't as fast as the others, but it was close enough and reliable as all get out.

If you say the Warp 9's are better, I will go that route if the quest for Talon/Excel goes fruitless. Glad to hear it is better stuff now.

Side note: What (if any) other model's wheels are interchangeable with the XR400R (bolt on swap)?

What are you trying to say?

It might be ridden a few more times than that, but I'll put your name at the top of the list when it's done.

Pressurized flammable gas assist. Makes the bike run faster.

Go ride that SMR. They get lonely, then contrary if you don't ride them.

MrP has some wheels but they fit an 05 RMZ450. May fit your bike with some mod and if he wants to sell. I know he had plans for them.

They are talon/excel

Might be an option, but I am ok with the standard forks on the XR. I'll be switching back and forth between off-road and motard hopefully.

I may check on this option if I can't find XR specific by the time the bike gets here.

Thanks!

I might have what you need. Just don't know about the axle size.

Give me a call. I'll let you in on it. TJ.

Oh yea, comes w/ a 250mm disc but, I do know you can fit a 270mm on this hub.

I plan to swap back and forth. Looking to get the motard wheels within 6 months or so. I plan on riding it as is for now. Bike has a different cam, Ti exhaust, and jetted card. Wheelies no problem...
