Are you on stock suspension? Are you tuning it with somebody? Are you running track or street tires?

As long as you let the lap times come to you and you don't chase them you should be fine out there. It starts to get hairy on the stcok suspension though.

Good idea. I personally know of a 1.55 being ran on a completely stock R6 and I broke the barrier on a completly stock 600RR. So, with your extra motor and some good lines you will be easy sailing past the 2. Especially if you get the line through the chicane down and get the extra drive out of it.

Just wondering what Ty's school will teach you other than what works for him? I think it has been said by almost everyone involved in these schools/track days is that once you learn the fundamentals and proper technic it's more about practice then anything else?

Working with someone on a more personal level that has the knowledge to help with your week points is what you are getting. I was amazed at what this did for me. After taping everybody and helping them with there lines and body position he worked alot on braking. Because once you are sitting on your bike properly and getting through the turns properly the only thing left is to brake deeper and learn to trail brake.

Hey....get back too work!!!

I'm certainly not trying to knock the schools, but if you pay attention to people around you and practice you'll get faster. I think too much is made of lap times........most people run the fastest when they are relaxed and NOT thinking about they're times.

The problem is... Practice does not always make perfect. If you are practicing bad technique you will hurt your self in the long run. What Cinco will achieve at this point (which he is at the perfect place in his track riding career) is profesional critique from the fastest guy in the CMRA. This will ground the good technique in him for developing the perfect practice. It is hard to beat the $50 price tag for that. Not to mention, you now have a personal relationship with Ty Howard. Walking over to him and asking a few questions here and there will not be a big deal anymore. You know him, he knows you and so the story goes on.
