I've not taken it but heard good things and He is super fast so I'm sure you'll learn from it. Ridesmart is trying to be a school period not a track day event. Ty did teach generaly during the day and I did get some good tips just from that. So for 50 bucks IMHO it would be worth it.

I've done it once at TWS (Texas World Speedway) and it was great.
That time we got lucky and there were only 5 of us (I think it's more around 10).
It's him and Larry Myers as an assistant instructor (both CMRA overall 1st and 2nd) and they work hard.
They'll tape you each session and tell you what you are doing right and wrong.
For what you pay, you'll walk away with so much more.

My concern is though.
It's better for you (and others) if you have some track time before the school.
First, you won't learn as much as for the level.
Second, you will be riding with expert/racer group. It could be scary for you and others if you don't have enough track experience.

How much track experience do you have?

When is this going to occur? Why the change from a trackday org to a school?

It is not a change. It is an additional thing Ride Smart offers. You pay an extra $50 and get some good help.

Sounds like you would benefit a great deal with this class. I was running that pace when I took the class and dropped under the 2 minute barrier with Ty's help. This really is the cheapest way to get some good help from the fastest guys out there. My main concern would be to make sure you are comfortable with how people ride in the expert group. You will need to not get spooked by people coming around you. Although, if you have on the jersey for the class people are more then courteous because if they stuff you while Ty is trying to film he will given them a reminder that he is trying to work out there and they did not just lap him.

almost all trackdays are "schools" because they have some sort of classroom component offered. its just some you pay extra to have instructors or price of instruction is included and you do classroom stuff.

Those big boys were nice to me.
There weren't even come close to stuff me or scare me (thanks to Buck and Guy for raising my tolerance), but they'll still turn back and raise their hands to apologize.
Guess it's that whole being a little girl on a big bike thing.
Somebody told me they never seen those boys being that nice before.

I have turned a 1:57 out there. That was pushing it with Ty's help but I was finding the limits of my stock suspension and that was a scary thing. That is why i am building a bike with better suspension this year.

Chunky ? Brandon runs a 1.50 and I weigh the same as him... I'm confused. :dontknow:

Ok I misunderstood. I took this as meaning they were gonna stop doing the regular trackdays and turn it into a school. Sorry for da confusion.

Is your bike running good now. I was guy helping you get your 125 started at MSR on Sat. I was loading my bike when you cranked it up, you can hear it a mile away.

I am currently 5 lbs heavier but I have been recovering from a shoulder injury. My fighting weight is 160.

Are you just trying to get me to take my shirt off?
