Skull creek

Just found out about this place, and got on the waiting list. Any way of greasing the wheels on this?

Fyi I hear the owner of that place is not in the best health and his kids have to interest in trail riders. So it wouldn't be to wise to try and get a membership....

I've heard it was nice to ride but they're picky about who they pass out memberships to. Why? I know a few people who have had their membership renewals denied.

race the property with an organization. They hold all kinds of events there where you can ride without being a member. That was the best part of racing hare scrambles....got to ride "member only" properties without having to join.

Man, I forgot about hare scrambles. I wanted to get a bike set up for that ages ago but dropped the project when I got busy. IIRC, Cycle Gear, Stubbs, and Mancuso post up a lot of hare scramble info during the season.

all the good orgs here in TX post up their races TON. There is practically a race every weekend for those who desire that much seat time....i.e. CarbonJames.

As a member if Skull Creek I can tell you all the rumors are not true. It is a nice property to ride and is maintained by a good group of people. We welcome you to come join us. If you have any questions, I will be glad to answer them. If you would like to come out as a guest and ride PM me and we can make arrangements. It's $15.00 per rider to come out as a guest. just let me know.

TXORR is having an open ride day this Saturday for $25, all day at the Brazos Valley Offroad park in College Station.

It's a great place to ride, it has a ton of elevated spots, tight and loose areas, a huge pit, some sand and just a great mix of terrain to ride on.

There will be a good group of people riding this Saturday, I can't wait and hopefully Magicman has the 125 ready for this weekend.
