Shop in the Clear Lake area ..

Hope I'm not breaking any rules ... but I'm looking for a good shop in the Clear Lake area ... I'd love to go to Patrick's but finding the time to trailer my bike all they way up there is just out of the schedule for now in the short term.

Thanks

Is that 2 wheel toyz? Are they just retail or do they have a garage to do work?

cool ... I'll give them a call ... if I get no joy there, then Stubbs is the next closest it would seem.

Yes, still there, I didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling from him and it seems like its mostly cruiser stuff anyway.

I don't know IDream, but I took an old honda scrambler there about two years ago, I rode the bike there to help diagnose an electrical problem with the lights. Whatever they did to it (they certainly didn't fix the electrical glitch) when I went to pick it up they had managed to do something which prevented the bike from even starting. Luckily I lived close enough to push the bike home, got about halfway only to realize they had drained the gas out of the tank. Fresh gallon and I was riding the rest of the way. Would not recommend.

Honestly there's not a lot down there, Two Wheel Toyz might be your best bet, or there is a shop South of NASA Rd1 on South Egret Blvd maybe 3/4 mile before you get to Main. I cannot remember the name of it, seems little run down but I don't live down that way anymore.

TX Cycle Center is the one on Egret Bay...I used him a few years ago for valve adjust; his work was good & he had some cool vintage bikes in his showroom. I've also used Tejas in Baytown & they're ok...but I'm in Friendswood & I suck it up & always get my bike to Motorcycles Unlimited for stuff I can't do myself...which Patrick, having fixed some of my f***ups, will tell you is pretty much everything . I always ride away from Motorcycles Unlimited knowing they did the work right...& they're a sponsor .

Elson and his wife Rita own Texas Cycle Center on Egret bay Blvd and 518. When I haven't been able to make it to Motorcycles Unlimited, I've trusted my bike, my brothers, and my mom's bikes to Elson.

Here are some reviews, Elson is an older quirky asian guy who used to race for Yamaha back in the 60s and 70s. ..You'll see his news clippings in the shop...http://www.insiderpages.com/b/372194...tr-league-city
