Grab the throttle, twist it all the way, and don't let go for 5 hours. Do that 3 days in a row and voila...bearing failure. I believe it was covered under warranty though. Just bad luck. Never heard one failing like that on a DRZ.

An '01 model will have a conventional fork and smaller brakes. SM's have the upside-down forks, and those are '05 and later.

They only made Drz-Sm 2005-2009 and again in 2013


Tamucc is selling his yz426 plated for 2000 and 3000 with the motard set up.

My dr350 has 13k miles on the stock motor. Anything with a wide ratio gear box should last a little longer on the roads. Key word being should.
