A king sized mattress fits in the fender well of an F-250. It flew out of a truck, over a swerving BMW (like a good scene from a 007 movie), and landed right in front of me (like a good scene from Twister!). I wasn't too concerned when it hit the ground. I became really concerned when I began to lose control of the truck. Here is a pic after the tow truck driver and I got most of it out.

I have hit:
3 dogs..killed 1..
1 deer..broke both my ankles...deer dead.
truck tire tread..
bicyclist..he was ok..but took off running..

Almost hit:
concrete bags falling out the back of the truck...was 2 up with my wife..everytime one hit the ground, it exploded into a big clowd of cement dust..

4X4 logs fell out the back of a trailer...i watched them get loose...i dodged several and passed the truck/trailer on the shoulder to get his attention....sever cars behind were destroyed....the sight of this 10 foot 4X4 log sliding on the concrete at 80 mph and catching the concrete edge and flipping 15 feet up in the air.... and not knowing where its going to land...

Matress...couch...cow..

yeah! there is a load of unexpected on the roads...be aware..

That sucks. Hit one of those on 45 north a few weeks ago on the bike, girl on the bike. Scary , kept it upright though.

The amount of people drop on roadways is ridiculous. Apperently people don't know how to tie down. Definitely keep an eye out.

Almost forgot about this one
4x4 I almost hit one nite on my way to work when I lived out off 610-I-10. Nearly wiped out that nite. Later learned it took out buddy Eric Roman. He hit it and it took his life. That hit me stone cold the next morning when I got off work and found out about it.
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ighlight=roman

Ride safe out there peeps. RIP Roman.
