Not road debris.... but I went right down the middle of this when I went wide practicing in an undeveloped hood. Buddy behind me screamed as he thought I would eat it.

Worst road debris you've hit or almost hit?

Otherwise, just the usual tire treads up until last week actually I plowed through what I thought was an empty styrofoam cooler on 290. I really couldnt have missed it as it popped out from beneath a tahoe with hoodrat ground effects and I wasn't paying very good attention. Turned out it was full of canned beverages, don't know exactly what, but what a of a racket it made under my jeep. Funny thing is about 200 yards further down the road was a pickup backing up along the breakdown lane, probably trying to find their missing cooler. Sorry guys.
Coming off the exit on 290 at brenham I almost hit a plastic cooler. Pulled off the road in a cloud of dust and dragged it off the road. Was heavy, too heavy. Once I got it to the edge of the road I realized there could be anything in there (drugs, guns, dead baby) and now my prints were all over it. Stood back and kicked it open. Only filled completely with Dr Pepper. Not even a single beer for my trouble. Not even the real sugar DP. Lamo.

I just ran over a 2.5 ton hydraulic jack on 59 while I was head to Arkansas about a week and a half ago. I was in my Acura TL. That sucked! It was 11pm at night and it was black. I didn't see it until I was up on it and it was to late to change lanes.

My high beam was on because my low beam was out.

The other light is for low fuel.

Must be a universal rule that your low fuel light comes on as soon as you get on the HOV. Happens to me everytime.

Lol...great thread for a Monday morning!

Hmmm.

Worst ever, in a car: hit a camel in Libya on the way to Ghadames, big sucker, just bounced off and left a huge dent in our Citroen.

Riding my old EX 500 Ninja in Houston, about 18 months ago a chrome hub cap flew off a car on 59 in Sugar Land, it skidded like a frisbee at an angle towards me, and I clipped it with my front tire, and fortunately did not lose the bike or panic. It happened so fast it was a chrome blur.

Usual tire fragments, styrofoam, ladders, small appliances and furniture in Houston.

Oh on a FTM on way to Wallis a couple weeks ago it was ded skunk in the middle of the road day: managed to weave throught he little flat stinkers!

Every time I get on the freeway I remind myself to watch for road junk at high speed appearing behind vehicles. Watch your forward view and lane placement!

Out on the three sisters, came over a little rise at elevated speed and there was a dead deer covered in buzzards laying in a big patch of gravel.
I managed to swerve to miss the deer, get the bike straight to get through the gravel but buzzards are slow to get off the ground.
It's a little spooky to fly through a flock of huge black birds at high speed but I got lucky and didn't hit any.

In a car (truck), I ran over a dead deer. I got a little air time, as I was doing 70+. No damage.

On a bike, a box fell out of a truck in front of me. I swerved, and missed it except for my right foot. Lucky for me, the box weighed about 60#. I thought I broke my foot. That sucked for about a week.

The most damaging was when I was driving the cobra. A dump truck changed lanes in front of me (OF COURSE, he NEEDED to be in the left lane) on I10. I dont think he had a tarp on. He hit a bump as he came in to my lane. #2 started raining out the back. smashed windshield, and damaged both fenders, bumper cover, hood, and left A pillar. Progressive was great, and had it winning shows again in less than 2 weeks.

Hit a wooden pallet (in a car) on the loop in San Antonio, had to replace one tire.

Had a hay bale fall off a pickup in front of me on a two-lane road, but I was anticipating something falling off that truck so I swerved and missed it (again, in a car).

Roadkill, buzzards, and deer have been my biggest hazards on my bikes. But I've never hit anything while on a bike.

almost hit a black cow one night coming back from Hempstead years ago, was doing around 70 mph and it was incredibly dark out and the cow was sideways in the road, missed the cow by inches and gave a whole new meaning to HOLY COW!

Had a bolt fly into my lane from oncoming traffic on I10 east of St Arnold's brewery. Hit me square in the chest doing about 80. That hurt like . Saw it but only a split-second before it pegged me. I had chest pains for months after that.

I've almost clipped a brake drum that flew out of the bed of a truck. More debris than I care to remember, which seems like a constant in Houston.
