Is it worth it?

I have 2 questions...

1. Is there anything wrong with the 2012 ZX6R or are the dealerships just trying to get rid of their stock? Louis Powersports in SA has it on sale for $7,500 Brand new. Not sure on the OTD price yet though.

2. 2012 R6 w/ 500 miles all stock except for lojack and warranty..including replacement of wheels and tires as well for $8,500 (owner selling) is it worth it?

Thank you.

Is this going it be a race bike, or just a daily/weekend rider? If its just for riding, go with the zed as they are both pretty comparable bikes and the ZX6 I take from your description has 0 miles on her. You won't notice much difference between them on the street unless you are capable of going to their limit on a racetrack.

As for number one, the only thing wrong with a 2012 ZX-6 is that it is taking up floorspace the dealer could use for the new 2013 ZX-6.

Thanks! I know these are good and tempting prices but i think i'll just look for a used one that's way more cheaper..i'm using it just for a daily commuter.

Probably because the 2013 6R is a 636 again with selectable power modes and traction control. Makes the 'old' bike pretty hard to sell at close to the new bikes price.

Seems to be common for some dealers that can't get rid of their 2012s. I'd pick one up if my wife wouldn't kill me.

Here is a brand new 2012 zx-6r $7999 in La Marque. Pic your color: green or red.

True, you can usually find even better deals on slightly used bikes. I've never bought a motorcycle brand new.

what are you guys' insights on the 2012 R6 for 8,500?

I am assuming that since the R6 is used, there won't be any other fees? On the ZX6, I think they might add setup and freight charges... For track, from what I read, R6 is a better choice, but I would go with which ever is cheaper..
