Dampers can get pricey but it is a good mod that you will use and appreciate daily. Whether you ride dirt, street or track they serve a purpose. I would rather spend $600 on something that adds to better riding and enjoyment than spending $600+ on an Akrapovic exhaust or similar that gives you 5 hp more than you are already not using.

Having said that though I admit my current bikes don't have a damper yet because I'm a cheapass. However it is the next planned mod for the Husky and I'll be adding one as soon as I get $550 burning a hole in my pocket.

first thing to upgrade whenever i get a new bike, it makes a big difference specially at high speeds, just dont feel comfortable riding a bike without a steering damper or using the stock damper.

my gpr has saved me more times than I can count. It's just money. I won't ride without one. Its THE first upgrade everyone should do that does not have one.

Steering dampers are worth it if you like to ride it hard.
