be sure to check the lower stanchion for damage. hard as the nitride coating is a stone flicked up at speed can pit the surface creating a sharp edge which tears at the seal..... replace the seal without addressing that issue will result in exactly the same outcome in no time at all.

Stanchion s n good shape, no scratches or anything

Ran the seal mate up there, a few ounces of fluid came out

Did it 2x seemed to have dried up, we'll see

3 more weeks till I can get it fixed if need be

(i know leaks are possible on all forks just are RSU Forks less prone so to speak?)
When I had my 05 Fz6 and 99 900rr I never had to replace fork seals both bikes had right side up forks and I used to whoolie the snot outta them both had quite a few miles on them when I got rid of them and I never really cleaned the forks or used a seal mate!. Now I had a few friends with cbr600rr that blew fork seals they were USD forks. But then again at awesome cycles we got a few training bikes that have blown seals. My best theory is brake dust gets on the USD forks and eats up the seals if I had a bike with USD forks id get some neoprene fork guards may look tacky but worth the extra insurance from brake dust and rock hitting the tubes and gouging them.

Most fork seals don't actually leak (unless they are total /aftermarket ones). A fork seal leak (when quality seals are installed) only for the fact the fork has a "pit in it". Yeah, a rock hit your forks and put a pit in your fork surface. When the fork gets pitted, it also creates a ridge on the outside of "the pit" of displaced metal/material.

If you take an emery cloth OR something that will smooth out the ridge around the pit, the seal will stop leaking immediately. If you ride around for an extended period of time, the seal will get damaged.
