Bottom end rebuild kit for your bike is cheap. Just a rod kit and main bearings for mine was $400. If it needs a new crank which I highly doubt there is no aftermarket kit and it will cost me $800. You are in too deep my friend. But I feel you. I'm going to tear down the CRF at some point and if it requires any serious work I'm selling it even though I only got to ride it a handful of times. But this is your main bike. You have to fix it. After you fix this it will probably give you many years of fun. Don't kid yourself, if it was running you would be spending money on you don't need for it.
