Also, before the safety officers on MH jump on me, I had full gear; jacket, helmet, gloves, boots, knee pads...

I kinda miss my zx6R, but I don't know if I could go back. The loss in power might be too disappointing. Is the 954 really that much different?

i don't know that any of the "safety officers" on MH are going to have too much to say about opening up your bike in 3rd gear on a open empty highway while wearing all your gear... then it is just be prepared to pay for play...

954 - 154 HP, 370-380 lbs dry

05 ZX10 - 180 HP, 385 lbs dry

954 powerband is much more useable. It doesnt have the top end pull of the ZX10.

Yes it is.

Now get that thing mapped and drop a tooth on front sprocket.....and it is a MEAN BIKE.

THe gearing is perfection one tooth lower. Try it and you will love it.

Mine now wants to get the front end light in EVERY GEAR. When you get into the last 20% of the RPM's where the extra wire mod HP come from....hold on for dear life...and it makes you want to kiss the Kawasaki Engineers for TC on the bike.

Question: Is it my imagination or is there just a little more pep running the bike Full Power and no TC vs. Full Power and TC mode 1 turned on?
I mean before TC kicks in and keeps the front wheel down. I may be hallucinating but if feels beefier w/o TC mode 1 turned on.
Oh Yeah....me you and Dude need to get a ZX10 meet and ride going!
Kawi representing!

GO to Ivans performance products website.
He has the details of how to do the wire mod but it only applies to the 11-13 ZX10R.

It uncorks the euro mapping in the ECU.

Also, go to ZX10.net and you can find lots about it.
