spring has sprung, 3 bike incidents seen so far this morn.

so i've seen 3 bike incidents this morn ALREADY

1, looked like a kid crashed at an intersection, no other cars involved, looked like he laid it down, and his dad was following him. holding his lid, on bike, pushing it back out of the intersection

2. couple at an intersection in sugar land, looks like they dropped something. wife was off bike looking along the road, husband pulled into side street and came walking back

3. was getting back home, cop comes flying up, all lit up, pulls into my 'hood, then i see a bike all up in the curb, laid over, EMS enroute, 2 cop cars already there. guy is on ground shorts and t-shirt, moving around.....

Sounds like it. Not as much of a deal for those of us who ride through - and actually prefer - winter.

Nervous? No not me. I pity the fools who I see riding without safety or gear or both.

It is sad really: those who pull their bikes out after months sitting, are out of practice, or never paid attention to skills and safety anyway: DOA in March. Probably lots of new riders also. It is the season of the bike grim reaper in Houston. In Colorado it happened in May.

Tia,

Great video: love the 1963 Ford Galaxy with the 390 V8 and 4 barrel carb--my parents had one in white with a blue interior. The 1957 Fairlane is another classic, my dad had the station wagon in red and white: amazing car.

Yeah, death on the highway. Too few people understand how lethal cars and bikes can be. Anyone that has witnessed or experienced the carnage first hand has more respect.
