tire bluing?

i have some bluing towards the edge of my tires(new to me bike) i was wanting to know if this could effect traction. if not then something definitely IS effecting traction. a few times now when the bike is over in a turn it's started lose grip. front and rear. talk about pucker...

at first i thought it was just cold tires, but i disproved that theory tonight. they're Q2's btw. decent amount of tread left.

from what I was told its a sign of overheating. My old btoo3rs did this and they moved around a little bit. Its the oil in the rubber moving towards the surface. Best bet is to talk to the dunlop distributor....good luck!!

Pretty blue like this?

attachmentphp?attachmentid66270&ampstc1&ampd1363423210

You can usually ride thru it once or twice; it is solely on the surface of the tire.
But once it stays that color or worse, more purple, the tire is junk.

FYI Jake Wilson has really good pricing on Q2's right now

Carefull dragging hard parts that can have pretty bad consequences on the street. Work on your body position. Chances are you can carry just as much corner speed through those turns without dragging pegs if you work on your BP.

check your air pressure, maybe thats why they were getting over heated, q2's are suppose to be set at 32/32

sorry if this is repetitive information for you, but low air pressure means the tires will get heated quickly, too quickly, over heated, more carcass flex and over inflated tires it'll be harder to warm up and not stick as well.

just went ahead and put some new pp3's on. I'm a Mickey fan anyways, have always liked how they handle. And these new ones feel great so far.
